The kitchen is often the hub of the house, so a great place to have lots of plants. Try growing your favourite herbs on the windowsill, for easy access whilst cooking. Choose plants that enjoy humidity and are able to tolerate heat.
Plants we recommend for a kitchen:
Aglaonema (Chinese Evergreen)
Loves a dull spot and needs little attention
Aloe
All varieties will do well, but have some
Aloe vera on hand, if you burn yourself on the oven
Asparagus Fern
An easy to care for fern, which will look fab
on your kitchen worktop
Chlorophytum (Spider Plant)
Will give a splash of bright green to any kitchen
Dracaena (Dragon Tree)
Great specimen plant that can give you the wow factor
Epipremnum (Devils Ivy)
Lots of varieties that can look lovely trailing
over your kitchen shelves
Nephrolepis (Boston Fern)
Keep out of direct sunlight and ensure it is always kept damp
Phalaenopsis (Moth Orchid)
Enjoys the high humidity of the kitchen
Pilea (Chinese Money Plant)
